Importance of baby teeth
Baby teeth typically begin to erupt around 6 months to 1 year of age, but can begin as early as 3-4 months. Typically all 20 primary teeth are fully erupted by age 3.
Eventually baby teeth exfoliate and are replaced by permanent teeth; however, primary teeth are extremely important. Their duties include:
helping children chew their food
aid with talking and speaking clearly
helps hold space in the jaw for permanent teeth
sets the stage for a lifetime of healthy, happy smiles!
